Notting Hill and Ealing High School (Junior)

This school takes girls from 5-18.  The senior school is separately listed.  There are 270 girls in the junior school which offers a fairly automatic progression into the very successful senior school.

The following is taken from the school's web-site:-

" Aims and Ethos - Notting Hill and Ealing High School has always stood both for high academic standards and a broad general education. The highest standards and the widest interests are encouraged in all areas, with the aim of fostering a desire for the satisfaction and enjoyment which comes with successful study. The independence of thought and fruitful enquiry that develop provide the basis for further growth at university and in adult life. By bringing out the best in themselves and each other, all the girls contribute to and gain from the community spirit of the school and its links with the wider community.

The school is non-denominational and girls have always been admitted irrespective of backgrounds and beliefs. We aim to develop a broad sense of spirituality in pupils which will strengthen any religious or ethical beliefs which they may hold, and help them in developing an understanding of the deepest of human emotions. "

How do you get in?

Entry is a 5, 7, and 11 and they have their own exam.  We are not sure but the chances are that it is easier to get in earlier rather than later. Contact the school in the September of the year before intended entry and have your application completed by 1st December for the Junior School.
