| ASBO aims to end Terrence Pearce's local crime spree
An Anti-Social Behaviour Order has been issued against a prolific local 'boy on bike'. The terms of the order include a ban on riding a pedal bike within the M25. 19 year old Terrence Pearce already has over 20 convictions for a range of offences including snatching mobile phones and handbags whilst on a bike. Police had stopped Pearce, formerly of the Peabody Estate in Hammersmith, 21 times over a six month period and describe him as 'a prolific offender across South West London.' The ABSO also forbids Pearce from entering the Chiswick area, apart from when he is travelling on public transport. With certain exceptions, including visits to the David Lloyd gym in Fulham Broadway, he is also banned from the entire Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham where he also has been active. Pearce is described as 5ft 9" tall, medium build with light brown ginger hair. A police spokesman said that if anyone sees Pearce in the area they are not to attempt to tackle him but to inform the Police immediately. If he breaches the terms of his ASBO he is automatically liable to criminal prosecution. The granting of the order coincides with a major blitz planned in Chiswick by the police scheduled for this Friday 11th February, when 50 extra officers will arrive in the area in an attempt to apprehend other persistent offenders like Pearce.
