Back at Watermans for a season of exciting films highlighting the acting and directorship from South Asia, we will be screening: Well Done Abba from acclaimed director Shyam Benegal, Cash & Curry, Love Songs, and BAFTA nominated An Act Of Terror.

South Asian Classic Cinema

Sat 27 March
South Asian Cinema Foundation (SACF) continues with South Asian Classic Cinema experience with Kamal Amrohi’s 1971 classic Pakeezah (Pure), known for its grand sets, mesmerizing music and unforgettable dance numbers. Film historian/director, Lalit Mohan Joshi will explain why it took the director 14 years to make this epic and how this classic tale of love has achieved a cult status in South Asian Cinema. Includes a screening of the film.

French Impressions - Sat 17 April
The French Family on Film with The First Day of the Rest of Your Life, a superb, funny and moving film. Jon Davies shows us how French cinema has approached family issues whether through comedies or darker dramas. Includes a screening of the film.
